Benfica 2007 – 2008 home shirt

This was the Benfica home shirt used during the 2007/08 season. It wasn’t the best season for the club as they finished 4th in the league and failed to win any of the cups they participated in. However, it was the season that Benfica made some of their most important signings in recent years.  Óscar Cardozo, Maxi Pereira, Ángel Di María, Fábio Coentrão and David Luiz all signed that year and they would all play important rolls in the club’s future successes.
The shirt itself is quite nice. It uses an adidas template that was used by a few clubs that same year but the template is one of adidas’ better ones. If it wasn’t for the massive plastic sponsor on the front, it would’ve been an excellent shirt.
